A Compulsory Third Party Insurance is the coverage which covers the third party with the repairing cost of the vehicle, any property damage or medication expenses which are encountered as a result of an accident by the insured. This may include any kind of physical damage, bodily injuries or damage to property and covers the cost of all reasonable medical treatment for injuries received in the accident, loss of wages, cost of care services, and in some cases compensation for pain and suffering. Notably, the motorist or the insured is responsible for his own loss as he is not covered for any loss in such type of insurance.

The no-fault system is intended to lower the cost of auto insurance by taking small claims out of the courts. These first-party benefits, known as personal injury protection (PIP), are a mandatory coverage in true no-fault states. The extent of coverage varies by state. The major variations involve dollar limits on medical and hospital expenses, funeral and burial expenses, lost income and the amount to be paid a person hired to perform essential services that an injured non-income producer is unable to perform. Drivers in no-fault states may sue for severe injuries if the case meets certain conditions. These conditions are known as the tort liability threshold and may be expressed in verbal terms such as death or significant disfigurement (verbal threshold) or in dollar amounts of medical bills (monetary threshold). Choice no-fault: In choice no-fault states, drivers may select one of two options: a no-fault auto insurance policy or a traditional tort liability policy. In New Jersey and Pennsylvania the no-fault option has a verbal threshold. In Kentucky there is a monetary threshold.

Tort liability: In traditional tort liability states, there are no restrictions on lawsuits. A policyholder at fault in a car crash can be sued by the other driver and by the other driver’s passengers for the pain and suffering the accident caused as well as for out-of-pocket expenses such as medical costs. Add-on: In add-on states, drivers receive compensation from their own insurance company as they do in no-fault states, but there are no restrictions on lawsuits. The term “add-on” is used because in these states first-party benefits have been added on to the traditional tort liability system. In add-on states, first-party coverage may not be mandatory and the benefits may be lower than in true no-fault states.

A new academic calendar has been announced for the schools by canceling the previous educational calendar declared by the 6th day of Navratri. Earlier, 247 days of academic work had to be done, it would now be 244 days, public holiday has increased from 17 to 19, while domestic holidays have been reduced from 7 to 5.

According to the new academic calendar declared by the Board, 3 days of educational work has decreased during the year. There is no change in the date and the total holidays as per the new calendar. There was a demand for canceling the vacation as the examination was taking place during Navratri vacation. 400 schools opposed Navratri vacation in the area of chief minister Vijay Rupani. Controversy arose between Diwali vacation between Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Education Minister Bhupendra Chaudasama.

Earlier, 116 days in the first session and 131 days of academic work in the second session. Instead, there will be 109 days in the first semester and 135 days of academic work in the second session. So instead of 247, the academic work of 244 days will now be done.

Navratri vacation will remain from 10th October to 17th October. There will be a 6-day vacation as two Sundays are coming. And Diwali vacation has been announced for 13 days from November 5 to 17.

Summer vacation has been kept for 35 days from 6th May to 9th June. Thus, with the three vacations, 56 days teachers and 70 lakh children will be discharged.

Also, 24 will get the holiday. There will also be 19 public holidays and 5 local holidays. Thus 80 out of 365 days of the year will be available to the teacher. 40 Sundays, total 130 leave and 40 Saturday half day, and 15 government holidays will be considered for 15 personal leave. Local holiday has been reduced to 5 by 5. There will be 17 public holidays in the previous calendar.

The first test will be started in schools beginning October 19. The second test will start from Ja28. Std Local examinations of 10 and 12 will start on February 15. Board exams will begin on March 7. The annual examination of the schools will be started on 8th April.

The Insured shall be entitled for reimbursement of cost of medical checkup once at the end of every four underwriting years provided there are no claims reported during the block. The cost so reimbursement shall not exceed the amount equal to 1% of the average Sum Insured during the block of four claims free underwriting years. Insurance under which the whole of benefit becomes payable on a contingency, which is bound to happen, shall if all premiums have been paid for at least 3 consecutive years, acquire a guaranteed surrender value to which shall be added the surrender value of any subsisting bonus already attached to the policy. Further Section 113 (2) provides that a policy which has acquired surrender value shall not lapse by reason of non-payment of further premiums but shall be kept alive to the extent of paid-up sum assured and such paid-up sum shall include in full all subsisting diversionary bonuses that have already attached to the policy.

Such amount shall not be (Excluding attached bonuses) less than the amount bearing to the total period for which premiums have already been paid bears to the maximum period for which premiums were originally payable. The minimum surrender values are equal to 30% of the total amount of premiums paid excluding first year premium and additional premiums for additional benefits. In addition, cash value of existing bonus will also be allowed subject to surrender value factor. This is known as “Guaranteed Surrender Value”. As per the provisions of Insurance Act, the surrender value formula has to be mentioned in policy documents.

In the event of any claim becoming admissible under this scheme, the Company will pay to the Insured Person the amount of such expenses as would fall under different heads mentioned below as are reasonably and necessarily incurred in respect thereof anywhere in India by or on behalf of such Insured Person, but not exceeding Sum Insured for that person as stated in the Schedule in any one period of Insurance. Preliminary notice of claim with particulars relating to policy numbers, Name of the Insured Person in respect of whom claim is made. Nature of illness/injury and Name and Address of the attending Medical Practitioner/Hospital/Nursing Home should be given by the Insured Person to the Company within seven days from the date of Hospitalization/Domiciliary Hospitalization. Final Claim along with receipted Bills/Cash Memos, Claim Form and list of documents as listed in the claim form etc. should be submitted to the Company within 30 days of discharge from the Hospital.

SBI Fixed Deposit Interest Rates Hiked By By Up To 10 Bps

The largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI), has hiked the interest rates it offers on fixed deposits by up to 10 basis points. The new interest rates, which are effective from July 30, are applicable on retail deposits below Rs 1 crore.
Under the revised rate structure, the deposits for 1 year to 2 years will now accrue 6.7 percent as against 6.65 percent earlier.
For senior citizens, the new interest rate is 7.2 percent from earlier 7.15 percent earlier.

For investments from 2 years to 3 years, the interest rate has also been revised to 7.3 percent from earlier 7.15 percent.

Meanwhile, shares of SBI jumped as much as 4.4 per cent to Rs 299.25, highest since February 9, on interest rate hike.

More than 18.8 million shares changed hands, compared with the 30-day moving average of 16.2 million. Up to last close, the SBI stock had fallen 7.5 pct, compared with Nifty Bank Index's gain of 8.2 per cent.

Last week, State Bank of India share price rallied over 5 per cent after it expressed expectation to recover half of the assets that turned sour in the initial 12 large bad loan accounts that were identified for bankruptcy resolution.
The stock had gained as much as 5.26 per cent to Rs 285.75 on the BSE, as SBI share price was rallying for last 8 sessions in a row. SBI scrip, however, was down 12.3 per cent this year as of last close, while the broader Nifty remained 5.7 per cent in the same period.

Modi government may decide the normal level of 24 degree temperature for the air conditioner next time. If this happens, millions of units will save electricity across the country every day. At the same time, people's health will also have a positive effect.

Power and innovative and renewable energy minister RK Singh, while campaigning for the promotion of energy efficiency in air conditioners, said, "The high temperature of the air conditioner reduces power consumption by 6%.

In the meeting of leading companies and their associations, AC said that the normal temperature of the body is 36 to 37 degree Celsius, but in commercial establishments, hotels and offices the temperature is kept at 18 to 21 degrees. It is not only harmful but it is really unhealthy that people have to wear hot clothes in this temperature.

Step 1: Your Personal Details

If you have Enrollment ID (enrollment number and date-time of enrollemnt), then fill in your details like enrolment number, date time of enrolment, your full name, your Pin Code, the captcha code (image text) and your mobile number in the respective fields and click on the ‘Get One Time Password’ button. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on the mobile number you just entered. This is essential for verification process.

4.(b). If you know your Aadhaar Number then select the radio button put in front of ‘Aadhaar’ (second radio button on the second line yellow in colour). Then fill in your Aadhaar number, full name, Pin Code and the captcha code (image text) in the respective fields and click on the ‘Get One Time Password’ button. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on the registered mobile number. This is essential for verification process.

Step 2: Enter OTP Received and Download your E-Aadhaar

5. Type the OTP you received on your mobile and click on ‘Validate & Download’ button.

6. After that you will be provided with a link to download your E-Aadhaar letter (in PDF format) and to open it you will need to enter your ‘Pincode’ as the password.

You can then take the printout of that letter and use it for various services.
